Are Ceramic fiber and aluminum silicate fiber the same product? What kind of product can be called a ceramic fiber product? Here are some introductions about ceramic fiber. Ceramic fiber is a kind of inorganic non-metallic fiber, such as: aluminum silicate fiber, alumina fiber, containing zirconium fiber, polycrystalline mullite fiber, polycrystalline alumina fiber. The main differences between them are the oxide content in the fiber and the working condition. We can be use different ceramic fiber according to different environment. In refractory fiber material, the aluminum silicate fiber is used more widely, so in some cases, what is called ceramic fiber is aluminum silicate fiber. Here briefly describes the working condition and notice about aluminum silicate fiber:

Aluminum silicate fiber is also known as 1260 fiber. 1260 refers to the refractoriness of 1260 ℃ which means its highest temperature is 1260 ℃. The long-term use temperature is about 1000 ℃, and if it is used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach about 1050 ℃.

High alumina fiber is also known as 1400 fiber whose highest working temperature is 1400 ℃. The long-term use temperature is about 1150 ℃. If used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach about 1200 ℃.

zirconium contained fiber, also known as 1430 fiber, has the highest working temperature of 1430 ℃. The long time using temperature is about 1250 ℃. If used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach 1300 ℃.

High aluminum polycrystalline mullite fiber, also known as 1500 fiber, has the highest working temperature of 1500 ℃. The long time using temperature is about 1350 ℃. If used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach 1400 ℃.

Multicrystal mullite refractory fiber, also known as 1600 fiber, has the highest working temperature of 1600 ℃. The long time using temperature is about 1450 ℃. If used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach 1500 ℃.

Polycrystalline alumina fiber, also known as 1800 fiber, has the highest working temperature of 1800 ℃. The long time using temperature is about 1650 ℃. If used as insulating layer, the long-term use temperature can reach 1700 ℃.
